And God says "This is What I Do"
Recently I watched the Leverage series seasons 1-4, passionately following every episode. I was always fascinated at how the team (Mastermind, Hacker, Grafter, Thief and Hitter) builds confidence in their clients that they could deliver results that seemed impossible. The Team at every point always left their clients amazed at the kinds of results they achieved and usually when the clients are in doubt of their abilities and capabilities they (clients) ask "how am I sure you guys can fix this? the team would normally respond "Because this is what we do".
I remember another experience I had recently while getting on a flight to Abuja from Lagos (both cities in Nigeria). I noticed some guy manually and meticulously drawing some stuff with a pen and a ruler and calculating figures. I wouldn't have noticed though but for some check that officials where doing to be sure there was seat for everyone (Arik sadly always sell out more tickets than the seats available). I noticed how meticulous this guy was with what he was doing and I had to ask to know what exactly this was. The guy responded "without this, this plane won't leave this place". Bothered, I asked the fella "What if you make a mistake?" The guy answered with a smile on his face "sir, this is my job". Well to be honest I wasn't convinced at all. (Funny).
Its not amazing that people develop some confidence, become experts and skilled after being at a particular job for a period. People generally develop expertise as they practice and stay at a thing for a long time. When they gain relevant experience and become significantly good (experts), they get you to believe that they have everything that is needed to provide solutions to issues.
Dear friends if you can trust an earthly system to be so perfect to deliver what it has promised, why is it so difficult to trust that God can deliver the goodies He has promised in His word. When you doubt your ability and potentials, I need you to trust God when He says to you, "this is what I do" I take the least likely and make them the most mighty. If you ever have a disease in your body, trust God's word to you "this is what I do, I heal your body effortlessly".
I need you to realize that the weak feelings that you experience, the helpless feelings are not bad in themselves. Rather it is an opportunity for you to take advantage of Gods resource. Take advantage of what God is an expert in doing. The next time you experience that panic attack, Relax! God wants you to know and be confident that He is a specialist in these matters. This is what He does for fun. That's what He does without moving a finger, without leaving His throne, He watches over you and takes steps to reach you and bless you.
When in doubt dear friends don't ever forget that making provision for you is what God does.Your part is to trust His word. Listen folks God is not releasing anymore healing, wealth, righteousness than He released through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God is not releasing any more grace or glory. You maybe amazed at this but it is true. The question is how much of what has been released can you take a hold of? How much can you appropriate to yourself? How much grace do you want? How much mercy do you want? How much health do you need? You can grab all of it, but it all depends on you.
Mix these words with faith and get the results you need.
